Daily Day

Privacy Policy

Last updated: [date before launch]

The short version: we don't collect your data. Your tasks, events and notes stay on your devices and in your own iCloud account. We can't see them.

What we don't do

Where your data lives

On your devices, and in your private iCloud storage, which Apple runs under your Apple Account. Where you've turned on Advanced Data Protection, Apple encrypts it end to end.

A backup (two copies: today and yesterday) is kept in your iCloud Drive › Daily Day folder. Backups are encrypted, and only you hold the recovery key.

Calendars and reminders

If you connect Apple Calendar, Apple Reminders, Google Calendar or Outlook through accounts already on your device, that information stays on your device. Daily Day doesn't connect to Google or Microsoft itself. Those companies handle your data under their own policies.

Permissions

Daily Day only asks for access (calendars, reminders, notifications, camera for scanning documents) when you first use a feature that needs it, and it explains why. Photos are chosen with Apple's photo picker, so the app only sees the photos you pick.

Lock Screen

Alerts and the focus timer can show task names on your Lock Screen. You can hide them in Daily Day's settings, and the app also follows your device's "Show Previews" setting.

Shared projects

If you choose to share a project, the people you invite can see it, and edit it if you allow that. Apple shows participants' names. You can remove people or stop sharing at any time, and anyone can leave.

Purchases

Apple handles all payments. We receive no card details or personal information from Apple.

Your control

You can export everything, or delete all data, at any time in Settings. Deleting the app doesn't delete your iCloud data, so use "Delete all data" first if you want it all gone.

Children

Daily Day doesn't collect data from anyone, including children.
